School is almost out here in Connecticut and I CAN. NOT. WAIT! I think the kids are pretty excited as well. I am a high school teacher and I start counting down the days in April! I do love my job but I love the days of hot weather and fun with my children even more.
This summer I thought it would be a good idea to have a “laundry” list of activities to keep the kids and I entertained. And oh boy did I ever run with that “laundry” metaphor!
This is our summer “laundry” list. Adorable isn’t it?
To create it I used the Silhouette SD to cut out shirts, pants, socks, and bathing suits from several different craft papers.
I cut out 45 in all. Then on the back of each piece of clothing I wrote an activity for us to do. Examples include go mini golfing, paint rocks, go to the beach, wash the car . . .
The final step was to hang a ribbon and attach each piece of “laundry” to the ribbon with a mini clothespin.
Every couple of nights one of the kids will get to pick a piece of clothing and the next day we will do what is suggested on the back.
They are so excited (and so am I)!
