This morning Michael and I woke to Daniel and Jillian placing the Christmas window “candles” on the sills in our bedroom. November 27th and they were itching to decorate. So I jumped on the bandwagon, brainstormed an idea for a new Christmas ornament and gave in to my current obsession for pom-poms. Introducing the Jingle Hoop Ornament.
Gather your supplies.
Yarn
Pom-pom guide
Ribbon
Jingle bells
Hoop (mine was 3″)
Fabric
Felt
Scissors
Hot glue
Make the pom-pom and tie it off with the ribbon instead of yarn. If you don’t know how to make pom-poms just google it!
String your jingle bells on to the ribbon.
Assemble the fabric, bells, and pom-pom to the hoop.
Trim the excess fabric and then it is time for hot glue! Turn the hoop over and add hot glue to the inside back of the hoop a little bit at a time and then fold over your fabric onto the glue.
Once this glue dries add more hot glue to the back edge of the hoop all around. Then apply your felt and set aside to dry.
Once dry trim the excess felt.
Your final step is to add the ribbon for hanging. You may have to loosen the screw to thread it through, just remember to re-tighten!
After you secure the ribbon onto the hoop you have a cute new Jingle Hoop Ornament!
Linking to these great parties!
