Tonight is Audrey’s last night in her crib.
She’s been asking for a “big girl bed”, a pink one to be exact.
I can’t believe my last baby no longer needs a crib.
Tomorrow new furniture will be delivered for the girls’ room and they are so excited.
How I wish time would just slow down.
Remembering important dates and life’s major milestones is not enough for me. I want to remember messy faces, summer splashing, snowball fights, and that first bike ride. I want to remember what it felt like to kiss a boo boo, nourish a growing body, play make believe in the backyard, and sing a gentle lullaby to a tired baby. I want my precious babies to someday read how I experienced their childhood. How I craved their hugs, their smiles, the sound of their voices, and the smell of their hair. I want them to know how they changed my world, how they helped make me a better person, a more patient woman, a more caring human being. I second that! Time runs – too darn fast!!!
Time is going way too fast!!! Grant and Grace just got bunk beds for their room and they LOVE them. It’s so very bittersweet though. Walking in their room and no longer seeing that crib is tough.
